چکیده

We report observations during 2008 October of the first recorded superoutburst of a previously unknown SU UMa-type dwarf nova in Draco located at 19h 14m 43.52s +60° 52’ 14.1” (J2000). Simbad lists a 21 st magnitude star at this position with identifiers GSC2.3 N152008120 and USNOB1.

Photometric study of new southern SU UMa-type dwarf novae – II: Authentication of BF Ara as a Normal SU UMa-type Dwarf Nova with the Shortest Supercycle

We photometrically observed the 2002 August long outburst of BF Ara. The observation for the first time unambiguously detected superhumps (average period 0.08797(1) d), qualifying BF Ara as a genuine SU UMa-type dwarf nova. An analysis of the longterm visual light curve yielded a mean supercycle length of 84.3(3) d. The characteristics of outbursts and superhumps more resemble those of usual SU...

Photometric Observations of an SU UMa-type Dwarf Nova VW Coronae Borealis during Outbursts

We report the photometric observations of an SU UMa-type dwarf nova VW CrB during two superoutbursts in 2001 and 2003 and a normal outburst in 2003. Superhumps with a period of 0.07287(1) d were observed during the 2003 superoutburst. The change rate of the superhump period was positive. During the normal outburst, there are some hint of modulation up to a 0.2-mag amplitude. However, any period...

c ○ 2008. Astronomical Society of Japan. The 2005 July Superoutburst of the Dwarf Nova 2QZ J021927.9-304545:

We report on time-resolved photometry of the 2005 July superoutburst of the dwarf nova, 2QZ J021927.9-304545. The resultant light curves showed conspicuous superhumps with a period of 0.081113(19) days, confirming the SU UMa nature of the object. Although we missed the maximum phase of the outburst, the amplitude of the superoutburst well exceeded 5 mag. This value is slightly larger than that ...

V344 Lyr: an unusual large-amplitude SU UMa-type dwarf nova with a short supercycle

We studied the large-amplitude SU UMa-type dwarf nova V344 Lyr. A combination of our observations and reports to VSNET has yielded an extensive coverage of outbursts between 1994 July and 2001 June. The analysis of this data showed a mean supercycle length of 109.6 d. This value is one of the smallest among known SU UMa-type dwarf novae (except unusual ER UMa-type dwarf novae). The outburst amp...

Discovery of a new dwarf nova , TSS J 022216 . 4 + 412259 . 9 : WZ Sge - type dwarf novae breaking the shortest superhump period record

We report on the time-resolved CCD photometry of a newly discovered variable star, TSS J022216.4+412259.9 during the outburst in 2005 November-December brightening. The obtained light curves unambiguously showed 0.2-0.3 mag modulations, which we confirmed to be the superhump observed among SU UMa-type dwarf novae. We also performed a period search for the data obtained during the outburst plate...
